Olga Khvatova tragically was lost in accident on February, 23rd, 2006. This tragedy has turned all my life, has forced to overestimate many things as which I considered important earlier, has changed many priorities. Has from this point on passed very few time, but memory human is short. The new generation of owners of Corgi which was formed at this time, at all did not hear about it. I consider it unfair, after all Olga so has much made for formation and development in Russia of breeds of Welsh corgi Pembroke and Welsh corgi Cardigan. I will try to correct this injustice and to tell about it. Those who knew Olga Khvatova, once again will recollect it, and those who did not know, about her, will hear.

Olga was very light person. I never noticed in it envy, self-interest and other low feelings. Olga never, for all life, has betrayed nobody. It was the faithful wife and the ideal partner in our common cause - the Command "Aethwy". Olga was very clever and possessed tremendous sense of humour. She very much did not love a gossip and avoided their people dismissing. It never discussed dogs, for lack of their owners and people behind their back but if it was required, never was afraid to say directly the truth to any person irrespective of its social standing. And it sometimes harmed to it. Olga was highly moral the person and never changed to the principles. At it the intuition has been very strongly developed, and it helped time and again our family.

Olga was the believing person. She professed Orthodoxy. We with it tried to follow Christianity principles, went to church - Sacred George's Temple in Endove. Assisted the Solovetsky monastery. At the moment of tragedy, we, just came back from a temple where were on service.

Olga Khvatova has come to cultivation of Welsh corgi Pembroke and Welsh corgi Cardigan with certain luggage of film logic knowledge. Before we have become interested in these breeds, about 17 years, we planted at first East European, and then German shepherds. By that moment as we had the first pembroke, we had kennel, had training preparation in system DOSAAF and have been qualified as the judge on an ex-terrier. Possessing techniques which were developed by German breedersand, having applied them to Welsh corgi, for those ten years which she has devoted to these breeds, Olga has saved up huge knowledge of them. In my opinion, Olga is the best in Russia at that point in time understood breeds of Welsh corgi Cardigan and Welsh corgi Pembroke.

Olga never stopped on reached, always aspired to reception of the new information on our breeds. At leisure from current affairs on Kennel, she searched for the information on Corgi everywhere, reading books, translating articles from the Internet, communicating with breeders from other countries. Olga respected and many leading foreign breeders of Corgi loved, and Englishmen named it «our small lady».

Olga the first in Russia has entered grooming Welsh corgi. In those days, when Corgi only have appeared in Russia, to prepare Corgi for show was непринято. Olga has convinced many breeders and owners of Corgi that preparation of dogs for show is an integral part of show and it is necessary to be engaged in preparation of dogs. Now the dog unprepared to an exhibition practically has no chances to win.

Olga a lot of time gave Welsh Corgi Club. It was one of its organizers. Holding a post of the Responsible Secretary of Club and, entering into its Presidium, it made huge efforts that in Club there were no squabbles, and benevolent atmosphere reigned. It it is exemplary conducted the Club documentation. And this documentation has been in full transmitted its present management. It acted with many ideas which now are successfully realised in Club. In many respects thanks to Olga, the Club dynamically developed.

Olga was the organizer of the first show of Welsh corgi. It has set at once very high lath for these show. Show under its management, have always been perfectly prepared, on them there were unique prizes, cups and sockets, benevolent atmosphere reigned. On these show, since the very first, irrespective of quantity of dogs, foreign experts were always invited. After carrying out of show the report of the expert on a breed condition as a whole was always published that, in my opinion, it is necessary to do always. It is very important for cultivation, having read such report, breeders of Corgi can is more critical to approach to the plans of cultivation, having paid attention to lacks which in it are reflected. Show passed always as a part of larger show, for example, "Russia" that promoted huge popularisation of breeds of Welsh corgi Cardigan and Pembroke in our country. At these show worthy dogs and anybody did not have a doubt that the best have won always won.

Olga was the main organizer of trips of clubmen on «Corgi picnic» in 2002 and 2003. The trip on these show became for many owners of modern Corgi tradition. Thanking these first trips on foreign show, Russian Corgi have declared themselves to all world.

Olga was engaged in educational activity. People came to our Kennel. And thanking these trips and conversations with it at our place, by phone and at show many steels happy owners of Corgi, it is not obligatory from our Kennel. Olga generously shared the knowledge. She could be called at any time and to receive sensible council about the maintenance of a dog, вязкам or veterinary science. Olga has organised the site first in Russia devoted by Welsh corgi. On this site, Olga has published a series of articles based, both on our private experience, and on experience of breedersfrom other countries. Articles covered almost all aspects of joint human life and Welsh corgi. We receive till now thanks from many beginning owners of dogs. For dialogue of owners Corgi Olga has organised the forum first in Russia. This idea has appeared very fruitful and now in Russia some forums where owners of Corgi share the problems, pleasures, and simply communicate.

Olga was fine handler. She professed «Ethics Code handler » and always competed fairly. To look, how it exposed dogs, it was very pleasant. It has always been adjusted benevolently to the opponents in a ring and the first congratulated both won, and lost.

Olga began to plant with one of the first in our country Pembroke and the first Cardigan and, in many respects thanks to it, we have now exemplary Kennel.

In Welsh Corgi Club Olga tried to spend the program «Healthy posterity» which assumed check of all manufacturers on presence of genetic diseases. This idea has not received support and as its opponents owners of two large nurseries have acted then, strangely enough. But Olga the first in Russia has inspected our breeding dogs on presence of hereditary diseases. Check of a breeding livestock on genetic diseases long time was не востребована in Russia. However after some years after this question has been sounded, the best nurseries of Russia check the dogs on presence flully a gene, on presence of a gene of a short tail, on presence of PRA and HD. I am assured that that day when check of pupils on presence of genetic diseases firmly will be included into practice of the Russian breeders is near.

Olga applied the big efforts on Kennel Aethwy development, it did huge work in Kennel. To support Kennel at that level on which it was at Olga, I and children had to reconstruct our life most seriously. Now in Kennel there live some dogs who represent the third generation of dogs of our cultivation, and in Russia there was already a fourth generation.

We will always remember Olga clever, intelligent, cheerful, positive and beautiful. It will be always an example the benevolent, knowing and responsible breeder and handler for the Russian owners corgi. And I hope, all that it has made for breeds welsh corgi Russia will not be betrayed to oblivion.
